Back-End Developer - .Net Core / .Net 6 - Perm - Remote - Market Disrupting SaaS Platform

Gerrard White is working with a cutting-edge, high-growth SaaS provider within the global insurance sector who are looking for an experienced Backend Software Developer to join them.

Working with C# .Net Core / .Net 6 frameworks your role will be involved in a market-disrupting, no-code cloud-based platform, changing the way insurers can design and deliver insurance products to market.

Responsibilities of the Backend Developer

• Analysing requirements and developing new features for our platform.
• Fixing software defects and improving existing functionality.
• Working in a fast-paced agile environment, delivering over sprints.
• Attending and engaging in sprint ceremonies.
• Writing unit tests and performing code reviews produced by other developers.
• Working with our wider engineering team, including Architects, DevOps, QA, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts and Product Owner.

Technical Requirements and Experience

You will have at least 2 years' experience as a software developer with hands on experience using:

• C# .NET Core/.NET 6.
• LINQ and Entity Framework.
• SQL Server.
• Web APIs, e.g. REST/gRPC.
• Source control management, e.g. Git.
• Unit tests, e.g. XUnit.

You will also need to have had some working experience with:

• Web-based languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Azure DevOps.
• Issue tracking tools, e.g. JIRA.

• Strong OOP and SOLID principles.
• Ability to multi-task and handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
