Overview:

The Broking division are looking for an Insurer Development Manager to proactively manage a panel of insurers. Reporting to the Head of Insurer Relations, you will drive growth in the business by securing new broker partners, maximising the potential of existing insurer partners and seek new opportunities to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop the existing panel of Insurers to increase commercial opportunity
  • Identify, Integrate and develop new insurer partnerships
  • Assist the broking team in development and deployment of new products and propositions
  • Monitor and respond to Insurer changes, market trends, regulatory changes and industry challenges
  • Communicate insurer scheme performance effectively
  • Manage relationships with insurer partners and maximise opportunities from these relationships.
  • Drive business development to achieve business outcomes and strategic targets.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand the quote footprint of the broking businesses and feed these into the Retail Management Team
  • Support the Retail business in the delivery of its EBITDA target
  • Review insurer products to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet the demands of our customers
  • Provide continued feedback to insurers in order to protect longevity of schemes and key relationships
  • Monitor income and loss ratio performance of all assigned accounts
  • Provide detailed weekly reports to SMT
  • Develop and deliver a performance strategy for key partners
  • Control and oversee remedial action resulting from audits, credit control problems and other insurer related administrative issues

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years Insurance experience working in a broking or Insurer environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to liaise effectively across all Group functions and to Director level internally and externally.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Well organised, ability to prioritise and able to adhere to tight timescales.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and within required delivery parameters.
  • Knowledge of the Insurance market including distribution, customer needs and competitor offerings.
  • Commercially focused development skills
