Business Development Manager - SME and Motorsport Insurance
Salary £40-50k plus car allowance and commission
Main offices Bristol and Nottingham - Must be commutable once a week
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. You will be driving Leads, Business Partners and income into the business for two key areas identified for growth; Motorsport and SME Insurance. This will entail creating a prospecting plan, tailored to each area, which you will implement and then manage the end-to-end process through to income delivery.
The Business Development team is based in Bristol, but we have multiple office locations available through the company, so it is essential that you have the flexibility to travel to our other locations and to off-site meetings on a regular basis.
About the role
The key elements of your role will include:
· Identify and engage new partner opportunities for the Group that will drive leads and income into our business areas.
· Proactively manage key and existing relationships to ensure requirements are met.
Key responsibilities:
· Manage and develop a central prospect list, which includes target companies and industries.
· Arrange appointments with potential partners to highlight the Groups commercials.
· Successfully convert prospects into contracted partner agreements.
· Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure new opportunity launch dates are within agreed timescales.
· Ensure all agreements are compliant.
· Prepare joint business and marketing plans with our key Partners/Introducers.
· Work with the marketing department to produce collateral to maximise exposure with each opportunity.
· Achieve sales and other targets agreed with line manager.
· Maintain a strong relationship with partners to develop the partnership and maximise the level of income delivered
· Liaise with the in-house sales/call team to understand sales journey and support conversion of leads.
· Maintain a strong knowledge of all products/services offered by the Group to identify and convert opportunities to cross sell additional products to existing partners
· Any ad hoc responsibilities as required.
About you
To be considered for the role you will need to have:
· Previous experience working in a sales role including working in a targeted environment.
· Must have either Motorsport or SME experience - ideally both
· Self-motivated, able to work remotely and manage multiple external relationships
· Must have an existing network of relevant contacts
· Experience in discussing Motorsport and SME insurance with industry professionals and prospective clients from outside the industry.
· Experience with face to face, B2B sales and delivering presentations.
· Ability to prospect via durable medium, telephone and face to face.
