Commercial Manager – Motor Insurance

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 d.o.e.

Location: London or WFH, travel to client sites as & when required - UK. 

Car Insurance / Motor Insurance / Affinity Schemes / Partnerships / OEM's / Automotive Manufacturers

About the Role

As a Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and managing key partnerships within the motor insurance industry. You’ll work closely with automotive manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and other key stakeholders to drive business growth and deliver tailored solutions.
This role requires a deep understanding of motor insurance, particularly in managing affinity partnerships or schemes. You’ll bring expertise in building strong client relationships, navigating complex operational challenges, and ensuring the seamless integration of insurance products into partner ecosystems.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and grow strategic partnerships with automotive manufacturers and other key industry players.
  • Oversee the delivery of insurance products tailored to partner needs, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine and optimise operational processes.
  • Use your insight into industry challenges to anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and implementing innovative commercial opportunities.
We’re looking for someone with:
  • Proven experience in the motor insurance sector, particularly with partnerships, affinity schemes, or working directly with OEMs or automotive clients.
  • A solid understanding of how insurance schemes operate, from both the intermediary/insurer and client perspectives.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with a track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate complex operational challenges.
