Insurance, Risk & Compliance Manager

Location: London City (Hybrid – 3 days in office) and regular travel across Europe
Salary: £70,000 – £100,000 (DOE)


About the Role

A leading European logistics business is seeking its first dedicated Insurance, Risk & Compliance Manager to work on an established insurance programme. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will take full ownership of the organisation’s insurance programme, enterprise risk framework, and regulatory compliance structure across multiple European jurisdictions with regular travel to the organisations European facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full commercial insurance programme (property, liability, cargo, CAR, employer’s liability, warehouse risks)
  • Managing brokers and the understanding of commercial insurance policies.
  • Manage brokers, insurers, renewals, and end-to-end claims handling
  • Lead insurance due diligence and support M&A transactions, including W&I insurance placements
  • Develop and implement enterprise risk management and loss prevention frameworks
  • Build business continuity and operational risk programmes for cold chain environments
  • Establish and maintain multi-country compliance frameworks
  • Lead audits, regulatory engagement, and corrective action processes
  • Develop governance structures, policies, reporting tools, and risk metrics from scratch

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in insurance risk or compliance
  • Experience managing brokers and understanding of commercial insurance policies.
  • Strong commercial insurance programme/ management background
  • CII/ACII or equivalent (highly beneficial)
  • Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, or supply chain (must)
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel across Europe
