Senior .NET Developer – Contract (Inside IR35)Location : Remote /Hybrid but must be easily able to commute to Cardiff area as required.
We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join a high-performing technology team delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions within a financial services organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a contractor who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working across modern Microsoft technology stacks.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing scalable applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using .NET technologies
- Contribute to solution design and technical architecture decisions
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications
- Work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support integration with cloud and third-party platforms
- Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with Azure cloud services
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server
- Front-end experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular or React desirable
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience within regulated financial services environments
- Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems
