Customer / Marketplace Data Insight Manager
Leading Retail Group
Hybrid : London / Remote
Gerrard White is currently seeking a Customer Data Insight Manager to join one of UK's largest retail groups. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead data source initiatives and projects, build new data mechanisms and develop a deep understanding of the marketplace across all markets. The Manager will have a key role in the long-term improvement of the Customer experience and the success of the marketplace.
The analytics activities will focus on the supply (merchants and sellers) and the demand (consumers). The role will facilitate Planning, Analytics and Insights activities for multiple stakeholders, ensuring the right (accurate) information is available for them to make key decisions that allows the development and scalable & profitable growth of the business.
Key tasks:
- Build an analytics framework, which produces relevant research and benchmarks around markets, competitors, consumers, and merchants
- Define marketplace-wide metrics and relevant data sources
- Closely collaborate with the Group Data Team to support business leaders in understanding how to use the large amount of data that marketplace will produce
- Develop relevant data & analytics tools to support easier, automated insights generation
- Develop Analytics best practices (e.g., models, quality standards) Insights generation & infusion in strategic priorities & direction
- Constantly analyse market trends, benchmarks, internal & external data to identify new business opportunities and risks and proactively bring solutions and business recommendations to the responsible banner and group teams
- Leverage data science capabilities (e.g. on pricing, assortment, quality)
Suitable candidates will have:
- Extensive experience across a range of data, analytical and BI tools including Excel, Azure, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Power BI, SQL
- Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus
- Demonstrable experience in Salesforce or similar B2B CRMs is a plus
- Experience in Marketing automation, marketing performance, revenue management and pricing management is a plus - Experience working in Retail, Marketplace, Travel, or Gaming industries is advantageous
- Good understanding of key metrics and KPIs frequently used in Ecommerce and marketplace industries
