Family Lawyer

A long-established Legal 500 firm are currently seeking a Family Lawyer to join their expanding Family Law team in Essex. This firm have a highly ranked Family department and hold an exceptional reputation across Essex and the surrounding counties.

This candidate will have a particular interest in private law children and divorce/matrimonial work.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting those who are going through a difficult time in their lives and who require compassionate but robust advice in respect of how the legal implications affect them both now and moving into the future.

You will have dealt with and handled:

  • Divorce/matrimonial finance
  • Cohabitee disputes
  • Private law children cases
  • Pre and post nuptial agreements.
  • Separation agreements and injunctions.
  • The caseload will be mainly private but may also have some legal aid cases.


The Candidate:

  • A Family Solicitor/Legal Executive (NQ-5 years PQE)
  • Ability to work to targets, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


This opportunity will be working closely with an experienced Senior Family Solicitor and experienced Paralegal.

The successful candidate will be expected to work with limited supervision but with the benefit of full administrative support (paralegal and secretarial).

Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 (negotiatble and dependent on experience)
