Maintenance & Construction General Technician
Location: Peterborough, North of Peterborough, or York
Salary: £29,000 basic + benefits package
Full-time | Permanent
Are you a multi-skilled technician with a passion for building, maintenance, and high-quality workmanship? An exciting opportunity awaits to join a growing, fast-paced property services team working across residential, commercial, and industrial properties in the North of England.
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance & Construction General Technician who’s ready to hit the ground running and contribute to a collaborative, skilled trades team shaping the future of property maintenance and development.
What You'll Do
- Deliver general maintenance and construction works across various properties
- Undertake a broad range of tasks including carpentry, electrical, and painting & decorating works
- Support site set-ups and assist with small-scale project works as needed
- Communicate effectively with site managers, other trades, and tenants to ensure work is completed to high standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and report on task progress, material usage, and issues
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and company policies
- Represent the team with professionalism and pride, delivering outstanding customer service
What We’re Looking For
Requirements:
- Experience in general building works and property maintenance
- Proven skills in carpentry, electrical work, and painting & decorating
- Hands-on project delivery and small works management
- Confident using IT tools for scheduling, reporting, and documentation
- A strong, customer-focused approach with a can-do attitude
- Valid driver’s licence (essential)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Positive, motivated, and reliable
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider multi-trade team
- Strong communicator with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
