Property and/or Motor Claims Handler

Job description

Commercial Property and Motor Claims handlers are needed to join one of the largest Insurance providers In the UK.

The Commercial Claims unit is responsible for managing all claims relating to Commercial Property, Casualty, Motor Engineering and Commercial Motor.

Responsibilities;

  • Manage your own portfolio of claims and offer support to others in training
  • Contributing to the Claims Strategy by offering the best service to our customers.
  • Working productively as a team to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and brokers.
  • In addition to handling your own caseload of claims, you'll coach and develop your colleagues, so, you'll have experience in helping people to shape the right curiosity, passion and integrity needed for a collaborative,

successful, career.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Motor and/or Commercial Property claims knowledge is essential.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all Personal Injury processes and claims handling techniques
  • Ability to negotiate settlement of liability with Customers, often in circumstances where the issues are emotive to the Customer
  • Ability to negotiate settlement of Personal Injury Claims
  • Knowledge of common law and legislation governing Motor Insurance and the principles applying to injury and damage quantum assessment
  • Knowledge of litigation procedures with the MOJ, OIC and Civil Procedure Rules processes
  • Looking for opportunities to always learn and be part in shaping the future of our business.
  • An active listener who can demonstrate empathy, able to put yourself in our customers shoes to build key relationships.
  • Professional, confident and able to adapt quickly, as you will be dealing with different people, including, claimant lawyers,

our customers, brokers and other insurance professionals.

  • Fantastic salary between £23,000- £32,000 (experience dependent)
  • Monday-Friday only 9 am- 5 pm (Flexi-time on offer)
