Job Description
Working within a multi-entity, PE backed insurance organisation in an ongoing period of growth and transformation, this role will report directly into the CFO and be responsible for treasury across a number of insurance organisations (circa 50 businesses), Investments, Securitisation Management, Covenant Reporting, RCF Reporting, and daily cash management within a large, complex group. This is a new role and will also be responsible for bringing in resource to support the role, so definitely a challenge and not just picking up BAU activity!
Your duties as a Group Head of Treasury:
- Take responsibility for cash management, securitisation management, RCF management working closely with the board, finance teams, investors and group financial reporting.
- Develop processes for cash flow modelling including short and longer term forecasting, identifying opportunities to improve policies and forecasting systems
- Management of the group's working capital and investment of corporate cash in line with risk policies
- Managing refinancing where needed and management of covenant reporting as well as internal funding requests
- Work closely with the board to support growth and acquisition within the group
- Ensure regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders including investors requests and investor reporting
- Analysis of emerging trends which may impact the group's funding strategies
- Development of treasury policies and procedures supporting the evolution of the treasury function
- Implementation and ownership of the Group's Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll processes
The Successful Group Head of Treasury
The ideal Head of Treasury will come from a similar role within a multi-entity insurance organisation, have built up divisions from the ground up, have experience in utilising cash and cash assets of a large organisation, and be accustomed to working directly with CFO level.
It is also important that you have worked within a Private Equity backed organisation with solid exposure to M&A activity, as well as have an entrepreneurial nature.
Communication skills are key, and as a visible role in a large organisation, you will have a lot of interaction with senior stakeholders, including Private Equity Houses.
Naturally formal qualifications will be important, so the ideal candidate will be a Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and / or a Treasury qualification (i.e. AMCT).
