Lettings Negotiator

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced, proactive and driven Lettings Negotiator to join a small but thriving lettings team in Sevenoaks.

You will be joining a leading independent agency with an outstanding reputation.

You will be a team player with excellent negotiation and communication skills and enjoy a varied role which will involve:

Responsibilities

  • Help to identify and generate rental opportunities
  • Carry out Market Appraisals for prospective clients including preparation of reports, pitching for business and following up
  • Overseeing the marketing of properties, including taking photographs, videos and ensuring the accuracy of online marketing and brochures
  • Effectivity qualifying and registering new applicants
  • Maintaining records on our CRM database
  • Organising and carrying out viewings
  • Efficiently maintaining regular contact with landlords and applicants
  • Negotiating any offers received and agreeing on new tenancies
  • Ensuring you are up-to-date on lettings legislation
  • Progressing the tenancy through to move in
  • Serving notices in accordance with client instructions and legislation
  • Negotiating and agreeing on renewals
  • Assisting with property management when required


Skills Knowledge and Experience

  • Passionate about providing a high level of customer service
  • Organised and able to multi-task and prioritise workloads
  • Valuations experience
  • Professional and presentable with a friendly telephone manner
  • Local knowledge and living with a reasonable commute to the Sevenoaks area
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Preferably ARLA qualified or a strong willingness to qualify
  • Ability to build a rapport and long-term relationships with clients
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn
  • IT proficient and experienced in using CRM systems (preferably Reapit) with a strong level of competence using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook in particular
  • Full driving licence and car owner


The successful Lettings Negotiator will be rewarded with a market led salary plus bonus structure (team-based).

It is expected that the successful Lettings Negotiator will work Saturdays on a rota basis, with a day in lieu. This will be a maximum of 1 in 3 Saturdays.

There will be excellent opportunities for progression, and on-going training and development will take place.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30-35,000 OTE
