Project Manager (Insurance Background Required)

Portsmouth, Peterborough, or Manchester based

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in insurance, ready to lead high-impact projects while ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and top-quality outcomes? As a Project Manager, you'll oversee a range of complex projects, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure successful project delivery by managing risks, budgets, and resources effectively. You'll need to be flexible and eager to adapt to our company's ways of working, while also taking a proactive approach to managing projects and building collaborative relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead both internal and external teams to deliver projects that meet agreed Time, Cost, and Quality standards.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring effective and successful project delivery.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Control project budgets and resource allocation.
• Use a variety of project management techniques to drive change at pace and adapt to our company's project management style.
• Collaborate with impacted business areas to ensure safe and smooth implementation of change.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, track dependencies, and control scope.
• Foster strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.
• Drive benefits management and ensure value realization.
• Deliver clear, concise reports suitable for senior stakeholders.
• Be hands-on and actively engage with teams and individuals to ensure smooth project execution.
• Deputize for senior project managers when required.
• Travel between sites and occasionally to third-party locations for project needs.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience leading and delivering projects of various sizes and complexities, with a strong background in the insurance industry.
• Experience managing internal and external teams, as well as third-party suppliers.
• A hands-on, adaptable approach to managing projects and working with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Lean, and Waterfall.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost forecasting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, preferably within Insurance Brokering.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Formal project management qualifications.
• Graduate degree in Business or a related field.
