A highly respected coastal Law firm with a long-established history and quality work are currently expanding their Leasehold Enfranchisement Team.
The successful Leasehold Enfranchisement Lawyer will assist the Partner as well as managing your own case load, in a friendly and supportive team environment, with excellent administrative/paralegal support.
The successful Leasehold Enfranchisement Lawyer will be involved in duties such as:
- Acting for landlords and tenants in transactions involving freehold sales and purchases involving s5 notices;
- Acting for landlords and tenants in negotiated lease extensions;
- Acting for landlords and tenants in statutory lease extensions;
- Acting for landlords and tenants in variations of leases including clause variations and Licence for Alterations;
- Acting for landlords in acceptance of assignments including drafting LPE1 replies, deeds of covenants and Licences to Assign;
- Acting for landlords and tenants in enfranchisement claims;
- Making applications to the FTT and advising on procedure;
- Advising on SDLT including higher rates, reliefs and exemptions;
- Developing relationships with surveyors, agents and other property professionals.
The successful Leasehold Enfranchisement Lawyer will offer the following background/skill set
- A client-focused experienced Residential Property Lawyer who is willing to be involved in a busy department with a varied caseload;
- Ideally qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX with at least 2 years PQE (non-qualified staff with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply);
- Client focused
- Must be able to work independently without reliance on case management;
- Keen team player with commercial awareness
Whilst full-time is preferred, part-time will also be considered. The firm operate a hybrid working model after successful completion of a probationary period.
