Probate ManagerA reputable and long-standing law firm is seeking a Probate Manager to join their close-knit team in Heathfield. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to take full ownership of their own caseload of probate matters, from instruction through to completion.

About the Role:
As a Probate Manager, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of probate matters independently, with minimal supervision. You’ll be the key point of contact for clients throughout the process, offering a compassionate and professional service during what is often a difficult time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of probate cases from start to finish
- Preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and HMRC
- Administering estates including gathering assets, paying liabilities, and distributing estate funds
- Drafting relevant legal documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Proven experience handling probate cases independently
- Confidence in managing files from initial instruction through to conclusion
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Legal qualification preferred but not essential – applications welcome from both qualified and non-qualified individuals with relevant experience
