C# Developer

Seacombe, Liverpool

Hybrid Working (2 Days In/3 Days Home)

Gerrard White are working with a leading legal services firm based in the Northwest who are looking for a C# Developer to join the software development team and work on delivering useable, scalable systems that meet the demands of our internal and external customers today and in the future.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working primarily with C# and .net core but you will also be experienced in the use of a variety of programming languages
  • Working with other team members, Business analysts and Project Managers to build tasks lists and work packages
  • Deliver quality code within agreed timescales
  • Ensure best practice coding standards are used and maintained at all times
  • Identify bugs and performance problems and provide solutions
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team with other professionals such as front-end developers and web designers
  • Get feedback from users and customers
  • Make suggestions for better solutions to problems
  • Keep abreast of latest and emerging technologies

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a Developer
  • 3 - 5 years of experience with C#, .NET, WebAPI
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with T-SQL
  • Minimum 1 years' experience with Cloud Development
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
  • Experience of creating and integrating APIs and microservices
  • Secure development practices
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to be objective

Desirables:

  • Experience using project management systems such as Azure Devops/VSTS
  • Experience with Azure DevOps build and release pipelines
  • Experience writing unit tests/using TDD methodology
  • Experience with Front-end development/JavaScript Frameworks
  • Exposure to Azure Service Bus or other enterprise grade messaging bus
