Contract Project Manager – Infrastructure Consolidation (Outside IR35)Location: Hybrid (Manchester / Remote)
Contract Length: 6 months (possible extension)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Day Rate: £500–£600 DOE
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead a technical infrastructure consolidation programme for a multi-entity organisation. This is a strategic project to streamline and unify infrastructure across business units, involving data centres, cloud platforms, networks, and servers.
The role is outside IR35 and offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with occasional on-site presence required for key stakeholder sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of a complex infrastructure consolidation project.
- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and reporting frameworks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, infrastructure, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Manage interdependencies, risks, and change requests across multiple workstreams.
- Lead governance activities and steerco reporting to senior leadership.
- Drive progress in a dynamic environment while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Proven track record delivering infrastructure or technical transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure domains (data centres, cloud, servers, storage, networks).
- Experience in planning, risk management, and delivery in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and change control effectively.
