Gerrard White have been retained by Gullands Solicitors to identify and secure a brand new Commercial Property Solicitor, to join their highly successful and growing Commercial Property team in Maidstone.

Gerrard White are handling all applications for this position.

The successful Commercial Property Solicitor will be responsible for a quality, varied case load to include:

• Development work
• General commercial property - including acquisitions and sales of commercial premises
• Agricultural work including entitlements, land acquisitions
• Corporate support work

The successful Commercial Property Solicitor will work closely with Partners and Senior Lawyers; where you will gain exposure to world class local and international work. You will offer the following skill set/background:

• Be a qualified Solicitor and admitted to the England and Wales Solicitors roll (at least 4 years PQE)
• Demonstrate a strong technical ability aligned with your level of PQE
• Be commercially aware
• Have ambition and drive - there is full support and guidance to progress to Partner level within the firm (for the right individual)
• Offer excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Either be an accomplished business developer within your current/previous firm, or demonstrate an interest in involvement of business development/marketing activities

You will join a firm who have strong local connections, and many of the Partners are Trustees on various boards (including charity and town development). They have an exceptional reputation and business levels which have been cultivated over the years.

Staff are well looked after, with regular reviews, training and development. There are also regular social events (with the next one being a "Wine Weekend" in July) to be involved in.

This role would ideally suit an ambitious individual who is seeking a position which will offer future progression opportunities (succession planning). You will be instrumental in the running of the department and the firm.

On top of the generous market-led salary, there is a generous bonus structure (with realistic targets) earning 25% of billings over target.
