Entry Level Conveyancing Assistant

A specialist Property Solicitors firm are currently seeking an entry-level Junior Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join them, in their busy offices in Hailsham.

The successful Junior Residential Conveyancing Assistant will be responsible for supporting a small number of Residential Conveyancers/Solicitors in a range of duties including (but not limited to):

  • Scanning
  • Filing
  • Opening and closing files
  • Archiving
  • Photocopying
  • Handling post
  • Printing work
  • Dictation/document preparation


The successful Junior Residential Conveyancing Assistant will be offered full training, but will offer the following skill set/background:

  • Be educated to GCSE level or above
  • Be highly organised
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic with willingness to learn
  • Be presentable
  • Offer excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Be a keen team player

Ideally the successful Junior Residential Conveyancing Assistant will work on a part-time basis (3 days per week), although full-time applications will also be considered (please be clear on your application what you are looking for). It will be necessary for the successful Junior Residential Conveyancing Assistant to work Tuesdays and Thursdays.

There will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to pursue a full career with the firm, including the opportunity to study professional qualifications. As such, it would ideally suit someone who is ambitious and driven for success.

Office opening hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with 1 hour for lunch. Over time is paid.

Benefits include a very generous holiday allowance (20 days holiday + birthday off + bank holidays + 2.5 week office closure over Christmas/New Year period). There are various company-arranged social events throughout the year.
