HR Manager

Job description

A leading Legal 500 law firm are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their offices near Brighton. You will join a friendly and welcoming team, and leading/mentoring junior members of the team.

The HR Manager role will be a good mix of "hands on" HR as well as strategic planning. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Involvement in recruitment/onboarding of new staff
  • Employee relations (ER) including disciplinaries, grievances, TUPE etc.
  • Benefits reviews
  • Pay reviews
  • Strategy in relation to growth (e.g. mergers and acquisitions)
  • Budget management

The successful HR Manager will offer the following skill set/background:

  • Be CIPD qualified (at least to Level 5, ideally level 7 or willingness to work to level 7)
  • Come from a corporate background - ideally professional services, and even better a law firm
  • Demonstrate clear commerciality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Keen team player
  • Experience of managing others
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience of working to budgets

The successful HR Manager will work closely with the Board (with progression in the future to join the Board, possibly available). You will be an instrumental part of the growth of this well respected and established law firm. NB: Whilst it is preferred that this role will be full-time, applications may be considered from those wishing to work 4 days per week.
