A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a supportive and well-established Estate Administration Department within a reputable law firm.This is an excellent role for a professional with strong secretarial experience who is looking to further develop their career within probate and trust administration in a collaborative, partner-led environment.
The Role You will play a key role in supporting fee earners with the efficient running of estate administration matters, while providing a high level of client care and administrative support. The position offers exposure to a varied caseload and the opportunity to work closely with a knowledgeable and welcoming team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners with the day-to-day management of a busy caseload
- Handling new client enquiries and organising initial client meetings
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and third parties, providing regular progress updates
- Drafting legal documentation and routine correspondence
- Ensuring compliance processes are followed and assisting with file opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining and updating the case management system
- Providing general administrative and secretarial support to the department
- Extensive legal secretarial experience, ideally within Estate Administration, Private Client, Probate or Trust Administration
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Professional, positive and proactive approach
- Strong communication and client care skills
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment
About the Team You will be joining a supportive and well-established Estate Administration team that specialises in advising and assisting clients on probate and trust administration matters. The department works closely with other specialist teams across the firm in an open and welcoming environment that encourages teamwork and cooperation.
With a partner-led approach on all matters, the team provides a flexible structure that supports the development of junior team members and ensures work is allocated at the appropriate level.
