Description
Our client is one of the UKs largest Independent Insurance Brokers.
They are looking for an experienced and talented Claims Handler to join their Personal Lines Claims Team in Twickenham. As our travel schemes grow, we are looking for someone to specialise in this area, as well as handle a variety of other claims including home, motor and personal accident insurance.
What you'll do
As a Claims Handler, you will:

  • Handle a variety of personal claims, predominately travel, with excellent communication skills and an empathic approach.
  • Support your clients through sometimes difficult situations with a calm and knowledgeable attitude.
  • Ensure systems are up to date and administration completed accurately and within set deadlines
  • Build excellent rapport with your clients, leading to long-lasting relationships
  • Understand the UK Insurance Industry and the Principles of Insurance
  • Work towards becoming a Claims Negotiator

What you'll need
Must Haves

  • A strong understanding of Personal Lines products.
  • Agile and intuitive thinking; an ability to make decisions quickly and confidently
  • Effective organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid workload management skills
  • Excellent level of written and verbal communication
  • Able to demonstrate exceptional levels of integrity and discretion at all times
  • Passion, energy and a strong customer service ethos

Nice to have, but not essential

  • Experience within the travel insurance industry
  • Experience of using the Acturis broking system
  • Be Cert CII qualified or be prepared to start and commit to your Cert journey
