Underwriting Assistant - Chelmsford - Commercial Motor

Gerrard White are representing a leading MGA in the commercial motor space who are looking for their next superstar to join the underwriting function.

This is a rare opportunity, mainly due to the fact that this client will always look at promoting within before going out to market, which has seen individuals progress though the company right up to management/director level.

This role would suit somebody with 12 months (however, not essential, and we are keen to speak with individuals who are eager to break into the world of insurance) experience, whether that is in Underwriting, Claims or Ops.

The Role:

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will embed yourself into a fully-functioning business unit, with fantastic exposure across the organisation, supporting more in-depth mid-term adjustments, renewals, and new business initiatives.

You'll have the opportunity to maintain solid, pre-existing broker relationships, supporting them with the aforementioned tasks.

As you grow and progress, so will your opportunity to be involved with a variety of tasks and projects across the business.

Qualifications:

Ideally Maths/English GCSE at grade A-C and 2 A levels, but happy to consider experience over qualifications so don't let this put you off.
