Claims Handler
Bristol (Hybrid: 3 days in the office)
Full time - Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced insurance or legal Claims Handler to join our clients expanding team. You'll manage claims on behalf of leading insurers, handling pre-litigated cases from first notification of loss to resolution. This includes reviewing cover, assisting insured professionals, responding to claims, and reporting to insurers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and investigate insurance policies and claims, reporting potential issues to insurers.
  • Assist clients in managing complaints and claims, negotiating settlements within delegated authority.
  • Maintain accurate data on our electronic case management system.
  • Deliver reports and uphold service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and suppliers.
  • Identify risks and trends, escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and team procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years claims handling experience with technical knowledge in either insurance or legal claims.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with case management systems preferred.
