IT Trainer

IT Trainer needed to join one of the UK's leading Insurance Provider.

The IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests. The role of the IT Trainer is to provide user IT training to all the companies within the Insurance Group. This will included: new starters, team leaders and management, and will be achieved via documentation, MS Teams meetings, telephone calls and face to face.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver IT user training for numerous hardware and software systems including:
    • New starter setup/induction (hardware setup/user login )
    • Microsoft office 365/MS Teams
  • Work with IT and the business to analyse and define IT training requirements. Plan, design and deliver these requirements.
  • Run group and individual (one to one) training sessions for new and existing IT systems. To include upskilling existing staff.
  • Develop and maintain IT training materials in a range of formats/tools, including user guides, e-learning, and video.
  • Be able to deliver training sessions via classroom, webinar, workshops and e-learning etc.
  • Participate in IT projects that have a training requirement.
  • Effectively maintain training records and materials

Qualifications:

Key Skills & Knowledge
· Previous experience in delivering technology-based training within a corporate environment.

  • Previous IT Support experience.
  • Experience developing training materials such as guides, training videos and eLearning content.
  • Excellent IT applications skills, in particular, Microsoft Office
  • Experience in delivering IT training in a variety of different environments, such as one-to-one, group sessions and remote sessions, to all levels of employees.
  • Strong people skills - confident in speaking publicly.

  • Innovative approach to learning and clear grasp of modern training techniques
  • Ability to design and create training materials with an understanding of instructional design and best practice
