Paralegal

A boutique law firm specialising in Property and Housing are currently recruiting for a Plot Sales Paralegal to join the team. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a team of experts who are passionate about what they do.

This will be based at the firm's office in Westerham. Access to your own vehicle is essential, as it is tricky to get to via public transport. On-site parking is available.

They act on behalf of mid to large-scale Property Developers, dealing with land development, disposals, planning, and asset management. This role will be a hands-on opportunity to work alongside specialists in this field.

Whilst some experience in residential property would be welcomed, this is an entry-level role and would be well suited to a law graduate / school leaver with a strong interest in pursuing a career in the legal industry.

Full, on-the-job training will be provided and you will receive ongoing support.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the fee-earners who manage the full purchase process from instruction through to completion.
  • Helping to managing a large number of new home files
  • Liaising with and acting for developers (under supervision)
  • Dealing with title enquiries on various developments.
  • Checking searches and mortgage offers
  • Preparing completion statements and bills
  • Dealing with any post-completion issues to include SDLT Forms and Land Registry Applications
  • You will be the 'go-to' person for client-related queries
  • Managing the end-to-end legal process of selling off-plan properties on behalf of their large-scale residential developer clients
  • Work closely together with the team to deliver outstanding client service


Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Capable of taking direction from senior members of the team and implementing appropriately.
  • Willingness to get involved and act as a team player on client matters and provide general departmental support.
  • Advanced IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable
  • A personable and confident manner.
  • An organised and accurate approach to work, with effective prioritising skills.
