Our client is currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join their growing Real Estate Finance (REF) department at a well-established, London-based full-service law firm. This is a permanent, hybrid position based in Farringdon and offers an excellent opportunity for a junior legal professional to gain valuable, hands-on experience within a busy and collaborative team.The Real Estate Finance team is supported by a dedicated Banking team, providing exposure to a broad range of real estate and finance matters and the opportunity to work closely with experienced fee-earners and clients on varied and high-quality transactions.
The Role
This position will sit within the Real Estate Finance team and will involve providing comprehensive support across a wide range of matters, from initial instruction through to completion. It is ideally suited to a junior professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced legal environment and gain strong transactional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing general matter support and maintaining accurate filing through Practice Evolve (Practice Management System)
- Assisting with Companies House registrations
- Supporting the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and other transactional documentation
- Assisting fee-earners on key projects and day-to-day tasks
- Drafting first versions of legal agreements, advice notes, letters, and other documentation, as well as proofreading and amending documents
- Conducting legal research and due diligence to support banking, corporate finance, and real estate finance transactions
- Managing and organising client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date
- Assisting with the full transactional lifecycle, from file opening through to completion and closing
- Strong attention to detail with a thorough and accurate approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong administrative and organisational abilities
- A proactive and collaborative team player, confident liaising with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Professional, discreet, and able to handle sensitive information appropriately
- Previous experience within a Real Estate Finance, Property Finance, or Banking legal team would be advantageous
- Particularly suited to a junior professional who is not intending to undertake LPC or SQE studies in the immediate future
- Working Pattern: Hybrid
- Salary: Up to £35,000
