Trainee Insurance Handler - Theft and Fire Team

Salary: £22,500

(Full training provided)

Hours - Monday - Friday 8 am - 6 pm

Hybrid Working 2 days in the office 3 days from home

What will my duties be?

Your role as a Theft and Fire Claims Handler will be to handle the theft and fire claims for the company. You will be there to update and look after each customer and see them through the whole claims process with an empathetic ear and friendly manner.

  • Efficiently and effectively handle theft and fire claims
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls and correspondence by use of telephone, e-mail, and letter.
  • General admin duties
  • Screen incoming theft and fire claims against fraud indicators
  • Carry out telephone interviews with customers using interviewing and conversation management techniques to determine risk and separate honesty and inconsistency
  • Liaise with specialist investigative suppliers
  • Manage a claims caseload

This role will suit anyone who has worked in a customer service type position, whether that be dealing with customers in a retail or hospitality environment, or maybe you have worked with customers over the phone. If you have an inquisitive mind and like to help people, this is the role for you. This role has lots of scope for progression and would suit someone looking for a long-term career.
