Commercial Claims Handler

Job Description:

This position requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail. As a Commercial Claims Handler, you will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and analysing insurance claims. You will need to have excellent clerical skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with policyholders, providers, and other parties involved in the claims process. Proficiency in data entry and computer systems is essential for this role.

Duties:

  • Review and process insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner
  • Verify policy information and coverage details
  • Investigate and gather necessary documentation to support claim processing
  • Communicate with policyholders, providers, and other relevant parties to obtain additional information or clarify details
  • Analyse claims for potential fraud or irregularities
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures for claims processing
  • Maintain organised records of claims and related documentation


Requirements:

  • Strong clerical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficient in data entry and computer systems
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with insurance terminology and policies is a plus


The successful candidate will be able to work independently while also collaborating with a team. Strong organisational skills are crucial for managing multiple claims simultaneously. Familiarity with insurance terminology and policies is crucial. Prior experience with claims management is preferred, however previous experience within the insurance sector could be considered. Hours:

Full-time, 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday. (35-hours a week)
