Fraud Intelligence Officer - Permanent - Hybrid w/1 day a week in Reigate, Surrey
Gerrard White are working with a leading personal lines UK insurer who have a fantastic opportunity for a Fraud Intelligence Officer to join their Financial Crime department.
This is hybrid working from the office one day a week, therefore you must be able to travel to the Reigate office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analysing, and processing intelligence reports from a variety of sources, including industry bodies, regulators, and other financial institutions, to ensure the maximum benefit is derived in insurance fraud detection at the policy and claim stage.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensure that external intelligence received is reviewed and actioned effectively to progress an investigation, increase general awareness to assist in the detection and prevention of future fraud losses.
- Issue high quality reports on financial crime threats to a wide range of stakeholders, develop an extensive network of relationships with key intelligence sources including insurers, other financial institutions, industry bodies and law enforcement.
- Co-ordinate, develop and escalate organised fraud cases identified across policies and claims

Requirements to be a Fraud Intelligence Officer
You will be a first-class communicator with a meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine interest in how companies use data and intelligence to combat the ever-evolving threat of fraud.
This will ideally suit a recent Criminology, Forensics, or similar graduate, as well as somebody with experience within personal lines insurance fraud, who is interested in moving into an intelligence role.
