Legal Secretary
A reputable and well-established firm are currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join their Private Client team, based in Hastings.
This role will be providing 1-1 support for an experienced Solicitor in the Private Client team. You will be part of a friendly and collaborative team with a professional and people-focused culture.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ months experience as a legal secretary, however, this firm are also open to candidates with transferrable skills & experience in another industry.
The successful legal secretary will have:
- Ideally at least 6 months experience as a legal secretary/assistant
- Fast and accurate typing skills, ideally 70 wpm
- Audio typing/Dictation experience is a bonus.
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word
- Great organisational skills
Duties include but not limited to:
- Providing full administrative support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to Private Client matters.
- Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
- Completion of forms and documents relating to tax i.e., Inheritance Tax.
- Production of attendance notes.
- General team administration including photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning.
- Meeting and greeting clients.
- Handling telephone enquiries and directing accordingly.
- Arranging meeting room bookings/travel arrangements.
On offer is a market led salary of up to £26,000 (depending on experience) and a generous benefits package.
