Private Client Legal Secretary - Full or Part-Time

A highly respected High Street law firm are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Private Client team.

The successful Private Client Legal Secretary will support a Partner, who has an exceptional reputation and is well regarded as being an "excellent boss and Solicitor". You will be assisting the Fee Earner in a range of Private Client matters including:

  • Wills
  • Tax
  • Trust
  • Probate
  • Power of Attorney and Lasting Power of Attorney

The successful Private Client Legal Secretary will be responsible for a range of duties including (but not limited to):

  • Drafting legal documents
  • Typing through dictation - Big Hand
  • Being the "first port of call" for clients (meeting and greeting clients face to face, telephone and email)
  • Setting up and closing files
  • Assisting with billing/invoice and liaising with Accounts
  • Carrying out adequate compliance (e.g. checking/verifying ID, AML etc.)
  • Supporting other Fee Earners and Secretaries where necessary

The successful Private Client Legal Secretary will offer the following background/skill set:

  • Experience of working as a Legal Secretary (ideally within Private Client) - at least 6 months experience
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Be highly organised
  • Be able to multitask and prioritise workloads
  • Diary management
  • Have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Be a keen team player
  • Have a positive "can do" attitude
