Senior Network Engineer - Hybrid Working - Permanent
Gerrard White are currently working with a leading global risk management and insurance broking organisation who due to recent expansion, are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer. This role requires the successful Senior Network Engineer be in commutable distance to either - Central London, Glasgow, Manchester or Bournemouth offices twice a week.
What will my role as a Senior Network Engineer entail?
Technical fault finding and network incident management.
Supporting IT colleagues with resolving a mixture of 2nd and 3rd line tickets and acting as a final point for resolving escalations from our Network Operations team.
Provide diagnosis and resolution of network incidents. Ensure resolutions are fit for purpose and implemented in a safe and controlled manner.
Maintain and ensure high levels of network availability and resilience.
Carry out work to the appropriate quality standards whilst deploying and maintaining corporate standards.
What is required from the successful Senior Network Engineer?
Cisco CCNP and CCNA qualification (Essential)
Cisco IOS (R&S) including switch stacks, wireless (Cisco WLC), Cisco ISE. (Essential)
Knowledge of Cisco ACI (Essential)
Proficient with F5 load-balancer administration (Desirable)
Hands-on experience of: Cisco ASA, Cisco Switches and Routers. (Essential)
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls in a large corporate environment (Desirable)
Working with other technical teams and technology specialists, comfortable with copper and fibre cabling and the related troubleshooting areas.
Occasional travel to our UK Data Centres will be necessary, however most work is remote.
