Agile Delivery Manager - Permanent - Hybrid
We are working with our insurance group client in their search for an Agile Delivery Manager to lead autonomous squads in developing high-quality software aligned with business priorities. The role focuses on coaching teams in Agile principles, fostering self-organisation, collaboration, and continuous improvement to create a culture of growth and innovation.
This will be mainly a remote position with travel around once a month to either Manchester or Stoke-on-Trent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach squads on Agile processes, encouraging self-organisation and continuous improvement.
- Remove obstacles, optimise work-flow, and ensure Agile methodologies are applied effectively.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Project Managers to prioritise and manage work across squads.
- Promote a growth mindset, ensuring a high level of motivation and performance within the team.
- Track and report squad progress to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with timelines and business goals.
- Communicate and negotiate with Product Owners and key stakeholders, to ensure that delivery expectations are managed, User Stories are correctly prioritised, resources are provided, and issues resolved efficiently to ensure a smooth development pipeline of delivery.
- Support change delivery by reviewing, monitoring, and reporting progress against IT work-stream plans.
Requirements:
- Expert in Agile methodologies and experience in coaching teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills.
- Proven experience in a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Manager role
- Confident with Jira and other Agile tools - including a variety of Agile frameworks.
- Experience leading teams to maturity and facilitating large-scale planning.
Desirable:
- Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Scaled Agile Framework).
- Insurance or Financial services background
